Why does OV-Watch go on automatic after getting fertile day 1 reading?
OV-Watch detects the surge of chloride ions that comes about 6 days Before ovulation. Once the user sees fertile day 1, that
means that the watch has detected the surge, and can predict that they are going to ovulate 4 days later. Once OV-Watch detects
the chloride surge that it is looking for, it has done its job and is able to give you 4 days advanced notice of ovulation. It
works very similar to the LH based urine sticks in that they detect the LH surge that comes hours before ovulation. When the
user gets a positive on the stick, they can assume that they are going to ovulate in the next 0-24 hours. That advanced notice
that OV-Watch offers the user makes the difference when trying to conceive.
